Why should we teach Young People to be LEADERS?

Being a good leader is a valuable skill no matter what age you are!! Not everyone is born with leadership qualities, however, when it comes down to it, leadership is part of everyone –and yes, our kids can be leaders too. So, with that said, it is our responsibility, as parents & educators, to teach kids early on how to develop the skills needed to be good leaders! We need to redefine leadership, so that it feels attainable to all.

Leadership skills will help kids build confidence and succeed in life, while giving them the opportunity to thrive in their everyday activities, like sports & group projects.

How can we teach Young People to be LEADERS?

• Boosting their self-esteem
  
• Improving public speaking and communication skills
  
• Identifying their strengths and weaknesses
  
• Helping them develop organizational skills
  
• Teaching them to work with others
  
• Empowering them to be kind & compassionate to allType your paragraph here.\

Qualifications

All applicants must: 
•    Be a 6th, 7th, or 8th grader in one of our Napa County Schools 
•    Be in good standings with their school
•    Complete a Youth Leadership Academy Application

We will be offering 2 sessions at Justin-Siena next summer. (Dates TBD)

Time: 9:00am-4:00pm

Ages: Students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.


One last thing...we are always looking for current high schoolers who are interested in being a Youth Leadership Academy Mentor!
